Cullentragh Hill

Ive just posted my song Cullentragh Hill which Ive been recording on and off for five years.Surely the most difficult and tempestuous song I ve recorded to date I have struggled with this beast since its inception as an uptempo country tune through its dark days as a beat boxed synth pop number.Written about a beautiful hillside near Graignamangh Kilkenny and an ancient burial ground atop itIve posted it in its current form as my computer crashes every time I open the file due to overloaded audio channels.Im happy with it now and it features my bongo playing debut. So give it a listen and tell me what you think.Leave a commentPeace out homo.

Its been a busy couple of weeks here Ive been up all night remixing all the songs and i think they all sound a lot better now particularly Panic Attack Song which to my ears sounds a lot clearer and less muddled. If youve already downloaded the songs have a listen to the new versions and bin the old ones if you wantFire in the heather is the latest song to be added and has a bit of an oirish twang to it people are already saying good things. The best comment Ive had was from a friend by the name of Spud Murphy whos band is at myspace.comdefendkorovo who said hearing it made himwant to go out and get pissed drunk then sing it all the way home.just the vibe I was looking for.Ive managed to generate a lot of media interest localy in the last few weeks with good write ups in four regional newspapers and a slot on the lunch time news with a local radio station. This resulted in the web site visitors jumping from 300 in three months to over 600 in one day last weekYAYThe next step is to get som...

The Next Song is...

Ive begun recording the next track for this project and it is a slight departure from previous tracks in that it is traditional Irish in its structure .Ive so far recorded a Bodhran part guitar and vocals so the basic track has been laid down and its shaping up nicely. Some of the forthcoming songs will be quite exciting to record so Im trying to get each track in the can pretty quickly where possible. The track is called Fire in the Heather and I think will be an important track on the album.
